EXPERIENCE / A WAY TO TRAVEL

Your interests. Your pace.
Your India.

Perhaps you have been imagining India for years. Perhaps you have saved so many places that you no longer know where to begin. Tell me what draws you here, and how you like to travel. I will help turn those ideas into a journey that feels considered from the first arrival to the last morning.

A MORE PERSONAL WAY IN

A place becomes different

PRIVATE INDIA JOURNEYS

The conversation before the route

Tell me the part of India you have been imagining. It might be a place, a photograph, a dish or the wish to travel somewhere that feels completely different from home. Then tell me about an ordinary good day on holiday: when you like to begin, how much you enjoy walking and whether you prefer company, quiet or a mixture. Those details help me turn an attractive list of destinations into a journey that suits the person taking it.

You do not need a finished plan before getting in touch. Dates, the people travelling, a comfortable budget range and a few honest preferences are enough to begin.

PRIVATE INDIA JOURNEYS

Choose a thread, then give it room

A first journey might follow the royal cities and painted towns of Rajasthan. Another might place Varanasi beside Agra and Jaipur, or give most of the time to central India’s forests. Each can feel complete without covering the whole country. The useful question is what connects the places for you: architecture, wildlife, food, photography, family time or simply a desire to understand a region more closely.

Once that thread is clear, the route becomes easier to judge. An addition should strengthen the holiday, not just increase the number of names on the page.

Make comfort something we can plan

Comfort can mean a wonderful heritage room, but it can also mean fewer stairs, a quieter breakfast, shorter drives or knowing what happens after an evening arrival. A palace-style stay may be memorable and still be wrong for a traveller who finds uneven access difficult. A city-centre hotel may be practical for independent evenings, while another traveller would prefer a garden and less noise.

I want those choices made deliberately. We will discuss the style and location of each stay alongside transport, meals and the amount of support you want during the day.

PRIVATE INDIA JOURNEYS

Leave space for the journey to become yours

Some experiences deserve arranging carefully in advance: the right guide, a specialist visit, safari access or a particular stay. Other parts benefit from room to respond. You might discover an interest in textiles in Jaipur, want another morning in Udaipur or realise that a quieter afternoon would make the next day better.

A considered private journey has enough structure to work and enough space for you to enjoy it. The sample routes below show how I would begin that conversation; your final proposal brings the choices, costs and arrangements together.

CHOOSING WELL

Is this your kind
of journey?

The traveller I have in mind

Couples, solo travellers, families and friends who want a private journey, with decisions made around the people travelling.

What we will discuss

Most first conversations begin with your approximate dates, time available, who is travelling and a comfortable budget range. You can arrive with a detailed wish list or just one idea. Domestic flights, trains, guiding and hotel choices are settled as we refine the proposal.
