EXPERIENCE / A WAY TO TRAVEL
Choose a trail
you will want to remember.
Adventure can mean a full day on foot, a remote road or several nights on a mountain trail. The best route is the one that fits your experience and curiosity. Tell me what you have enjoyed before, what you would like to try and how far outside your comfort zone you want to go.

TREKKING & ADVENTURE
Choose the kind of effort you enjoy
Some people love a sustained climb and find the descent harder. Others are comfortable on long level walks but less happy on steep stone steps. A route’s distance alone cannot tell us how it will feel. I would ask about your recent walking, the ground you are used to and how you prefer to spend the evening afterwards.
This is a practical conversation, not a test of how adventurous you are. The right challenge is one that makes you curious and prepared, with the support and recovery time to enjoy the whole journey.

TREKKING & ADVENTURE
Village trails and the Annapurna foothills
A walking route through Ghandruk, Landruk and Dhampus can offer a satisfying sequence of inhabited landscapes, mountain perspectives and arrival on foot. It is not automatically easy because it stays below the major high-altitude trekking routes. Valley crossings bring descent and ascent, and steps can be sustained.
I would select the exact trail access and stages with a suitable local team, especially where road changes affect the traditional walking routes. A second night in one village can add exploration and flexibility while making the journey feel less like a procession of check-ins.

TREKKING & ADVENTURE
High roads without a compulsory trek
Ladakh can suit a traveller who wants a dramatic mountain setting with most travel by vehicle. There can still be walking, but the route does not need to become a trek to feel adventurous. The key considerations become altitude, daily driving, weather and the character of the places where you stay.
A photographic journey may use the same broad region very differently from an active group. More time in one valley, later departures or fewer competing visits can make sense. We should decide what the journey is for before filling its days.

TREKKING & ADVENTURE
When a specialist expedition is the right choice
If you are drawn to a demanding Indian mountain route such as Pin Bhaba or Buran Ghati, we should treat it as a dedicated expedition. Experience, seasonal conditions, equipment, support and emergency arrangements all need a proper assessment before a programme is offered.
That conversation can still begin with excitement about the landscape and the challenge. It simply needs the right level of detail. Tell me what you have done before and what you hope to feel at the end, and we can decide whether a village walk, a high road or a more demanding trek is the right next step.
A FEW WAYS THIS COULD UNFOLD
Start with an idea.
Make it your own.

INDIA
Village and mountain roads ↗
12 days · A Ladakh road journey with optional walks selected for the traveller.

NEPAL
Walking into the Himalayas ↗
11 days · An Annapurna foothills idea combining village trails and recovery time.

EXPERIENCE
A specialist Indian trek ↗
Discuss Pin Bhaba or Buran Ghati as a separate expedition after checking experience, seasonal access, guiding and support. These are demanding routes, not ready-made add-ons.
CHOOSING WELL
Is this your kind
of journey?
The traveller I have in mind
Active travellers, friends and private groups looking for a route matched to their fitness, experience and preferred comfort.
What we will discuss
Before a trek is confirmed, you should receive the route, walking hours, elevation profile, accommodation, equipment responsibilities and arrangements for disruption. Seasonal access and current trail conditions need checking for the actual departure. Medical suitability should be discussed with a qualified clinician.
